Pursuant to the Agreement, the countries to which this Agreement applies constitute a Special Union and adopt a common classification to be known as the "International Patent Classification".
The Committee members stated that this Agreement is a unified means of classification of patent documents at the international level, as well as an effective instrument to be used by patent departments and applicants in patentability search.
Pursuant to the Bill (Reg. No.0087), Ukraine´s accession to the Agreement will facilitate harmonization of the national legislation with the international laws in the field of protection of inventor´s rights and contribute to the development of international cooperation in the area of intellectual property rights.
